Every now and then many people get banned from Google Adsense for whatever reason. I am still a believer of the view that Google will ban you only if you have yourself done something wrong. Not otherwise. But many people have different views on it. Anyways, this post is not about how not to get banned from Google Adsense but on what are the alternatives if you get banned from Adsense. In the morning I was reading this very interesting story by Melvin, he explains how Big Daddy Google banned him for violating Terms of Service of using their most popular advertising program Google AdSense. I know him very well, He is a great guy but some how he did it unintentionally, well he is not the only person who breaches the AdSense Terms of Service, we always overlooked reading terms and conditions in a hurry for signing up to the best money making tool available for bloggers.
Let me produce here few common mistakes which bloggers generally do and get banned by Daddy Google. One should avoid these mistakes in order to protect AdSense account from getting banned by Google.
[1] Never try to click your own AdSense ads
This is actually what Melvin did and got banned. He was clicking his own Ads. Clicking your own ad inventory is a sin (and I mean it). If you are doing this then you are inviting Google to throw you out of their AdSense Program. Also do not ask your office partners, associates or friends to click on them. Don’t even think of offering incentives for clicks, using automated clicking tools, or other deceptive software. Google is very smart to detect fraudulent clicks
[2] Don’t change the AdSense code
This is the second most common mistake people do. There are enough means of AdSense optimization and customizations available to change the color, background or border to suit your website needs. I’m a huge believer in sharing with people what you are good at. I have another site that I do this and it’s amazing what has happened after two years of blogging.
So what I want to encourage you with if you want to make money online is become an expert at something (niche) and share it with people. Share How to… What you will find is people will begin to follow you.
I would start with a free blog version of wordpress or blogger and then as you get the hang of things and as you read and grow, then move towards self hosting.
Here is some make money online ideas with your niche:
- Start with one blog – Yeah don’t try and do too many things at once. Make your first blog with quality and fun content that your future readers will enjoy. Doing too many at once will wear you down especially if you got a full time job on top of doing this part time blogging thing.
- Have some expertise – In other words don’t be blogging about something that you yourself have zero experience about. It’s going to be hard and be a struggle to piece things together verses just naturally blogging about the topic with ease because you know what you are doing. In the end this will increase your potential to make money online.
- Don’t focus on Making Money Online – What? I thought that was the point? No it’s actually not. If you talk with any of the big timers in blogging they weren’t set out to make money to make money but rather because they had a passion for what they wanted to do and they just did it.
