Essential Components of A Landing Page Design

July 16th, 2010 Admin No comments

Possessing the proper landing page design could be the difference between a sale made and a lost sale. If you have a distracting web page design, your visitor will simply become overwhelmed and go away without clicking your affiliate link and making a purchase. You have to find the perfect balance between beauty and effectiveness.

The best landing page design should be trouble-free to navigate through. If your visitor cannot navigate through your web site, they will be stuck on that one page. While that one page might be the page you would like them to read to convert them into buyers, it simply may not be enough for them. You have to make available a navigation menu where they could find an FAQ page, a Contact Page, a Testimonials Page, an Articles Page and your Home Page link. Ideally it would be best to incorporate your affiliate link in the menu as well.

A pattern that I see recently is that individuals are turning to blogs in an effort to presell the visitors. I really dislike this and the reason being that an individual visits a blog to just read blog posts. These are individuals usually in search of free stuff. The home page of these blogs usually are simply made up of the newest blog posts. So there’s no warming up or pre-selling of the visitor on there. Ideally, you want your home page to be a strong point of interest where the reader’s awareness is caught immediately. Therefore, in your home page, you ought to have the presell copy where you will warm up the reader to the product you happen to be advertising.

Note, I said presell and not sell. An effective affiliate will warm up the visitors so that they become interested and would like to find out more of the product you’re promoting. I’ve observed that lots of people go about the incorrect route to preselling the visitors and do a hard sell and say to them that this is what they need to repair their difficulty. Certainly, it feels like that’s the best approach to go about warming up a visitor. However, the best way is to relate to the reader. If you are able to connect to the visitor in the landing page design, you’ll get their trust significantly better than straight selling.

As you are able to observe, an excellent affiliate web site ought to relate to the visitor and warm them up to the product you are pitching. Once you do that, then they will more likely click your affiliate link, read the product owner’s page and buy the product.

What is Drop Shipping

July 16th, 2010 Admin No comments

A wholesale drop shipping commercial enterprise is a type of retailing where, instead of the retailer (meaning you) who at thier own location, have to store their own stock they instead pass the order, along with the shipment details from apurchaser , to a wholesaler.  The wholesaler ’s job is  to forward the goods ordered outright to your customer for you.  The great thing about this concept is that not only do you not need to have a large warehouse for the storage of products you are marketing, but also you make a profit through the terms payed wholesale for , and the pricethat you will be selling it to your custmers at.

The fact is , where drop shipping is concerned, you are infact the middleman acting for the merchandise that your customer ordered and the maker who produces it.  This particular type of system is extremely beneficial to both modest retail stores , along with internet marketing online founded stores, or those people who use mailing catalogs in order to create sales for their companies.  In all actuality quite a few customers who buy their products in this way don’t seem to be bothered when there is a hold up between the time when the products are ordered and when they actually have them come in.

But the biggest problem that is being addressed by drop shipping is that retailers no longer have to worry about being in control of their inventory, as this is done for them by the wholesaler instead.   Unfortunately, in a more traditional retail setting, the products a store proprietor orders will be ordered in bulk, and they will then need to be kept in a secure location until they can be displayed and sold.  What this means is that you are adding costs to an already large budget, as you will need to have storage space available, along with hiring staff to to take care of the storage area and ensure that the goods are ready for delivery to the store and to know what levels each product is at.  You will also need to sink money investing in a good quality security system in order to keep the goods from being stolen.  even so, if you were to use dropshipping instead, then you do not need to hold a large stock of your inventory on site, and also you no longer needed to employ a large team of staff.

Also, you will find that a large quantity of manufacturers now find the idea of drop shipping as a an excellent investment, as it is also lowering their costs as well.  In addition they are gaining an additional sales person who they do not actually pay a wage to.   They are also saving themselves money as they no longer need to arrange for the delivery of large quantities of their goods to a retailer, so they are cutting downon the fuel charges and their handling this way.  Instead, they can use the more inexpensive shipping methods that are now readily available by using either UPS, FedEx or a locally based courier company to intrust that theirmerchandise is delivered directly to the client. Plus, as many manufacturers have expended vast amounts of money ensuring that their warehouses are entirely secure, their products are  now known to be safe until the day that they are transported , alternatively to than them sitting in the back room of some retailer’s shop with very little or no security on the property .

Increasingly large number of users are browsing web sites on the mobile phones. It may make sense to test the site for access on mobile web browsers.

Though you can put your address on the ‘Contact Us’ page, be sure to put your phone number and email address on every page to give a mature and professional look to your site.

4. Don’t add any information or features to the site that do not serve the intended purpose of the site. Adding content and features on your website that don’t carry any meaning for visitors is a waste of time and bandwidth.

5. Don’t let the content of the links get stale. Periodically refresh the content and update the links to relevant information. Outdated links are annoying and can seriously affect your business reputation.

6. Don’t use jargon or overly technical terms on your pages unless your website is designed for a small segment of technical people. Moreover, do not use conflicting information in your site. In addition to confusing customers, such information gives a highly negative and unprofessional image to your website.

7. Don’t use flashing icons and text as that can distract browsers and prove detrimental to the popularity of your website.

8. Don’t stuff up your web pages with advertisements. Also, keep a check on pop-ups as they can irritate shoppers.

9. Don’t include introductory advertisements on the first page before your web content is displayed. Such advertisements put customers in a sore mood even before they see your content.

10. Don’t just brag about your company’s achievements. Offer your users easy to consume information and back it up with references and customer success stories to permit them to judge your performance.

The Importance of Creating an EPK/Electronic Press Kit

July 13th, 2010 Admin No comments

An electronic press kit or EPK as it is sometimes referred to as, is considered to be an online resume for anyone looking to make an impression on someone at first glance .  It is often times less expensive to create an electronic press kit, than it is to create physical press kits, and mail them out to either the media, investors, business associates or whomever you intend to send it to.

So how do you create an EPK/electronic press kit?   Well, first off, there are great, affordable EPK websites out there today, that will help streamline your efforts by formatting all of the content that you upload into a nice creation in the body of the e-mail, but if you cannot afford that, then the other route would be to create a PDF EPK presentation, but the only problem with this is that a lot of recipients are leery when it comes to opening attachments.  If you decide to create an EPK using PDF, then remember to make sure to include the following items:

  • Biography
  • Pictures
  • Video
  • Music (if an artist)
  • Past Press Clippings
  • Itinerary (if an artist)
  • Press Releases

Make sure that it shows up orderly and in a format where the recipient will be intrigued. If you do not catch their attention right away, then chances are that they will not look to read any further about who you are, and what it is that you have to offer, though you may have what they are looking for. We all know that there is nothing worse than having what it takes, but not being recognized, so this is why it is important that you make your first impression count.  If you find this difficult to do, then check out the videos of  great service that offers the ability to create and instant EPK/press kit!

A Few Simple Hints for Succeeding in Affiliate Marketing

July 13th, 2010 Admin No comments

Judging by my experience for the past five years, affiliate marketing is one of the most lucrative business to get into online if done right especially when promoting other people products (i.e burn the fat feed the muscle). I have here great tips on how to start an affiliate business the right way.

The internet has many different types of things to do. There are web companies that are created and sold every day, the money is big and people are making it. However, what is the best method for a beginner to use for creating an internet company? The right path to follow would be affiliate marketing. In affiliate marketing you are not required to put any money down, all you need is your computer, an internet connection and the mindset that you are going to succeed. After about 1-2 years, most affiliate marketers make hundreds of dollars a day, considering that they started out with nothing. The trick to making it with affiliate marketing is to view and work it like a serious business by nurturing it. It isn’t one of the types of jobs that you’ve had in the past, but it gives you a chance for your own freedom. If you don’t mind leading you own way, making your own decisions and seeing what does and doesn’t work, then you will love affiliate marketing. In this article we will be exploring some affiliate marketing tips that give results.

Make sure that you like the niche that your affiliate merchandise is based upon. It’s not enough to just put on a few links on your web page and aim to make money. You have to understand the market and like advertising product in that market. For example, if you find that “plastic surgery” is too superficial, then find a more down to earth topic. Learn about the products you want to promote and create the content that reviews and explains the benefits about them. Your potential customers can tell whether or not you honestly want to help them or if you are just trying to make a quick buck. Another helpful tip is to work on promoting only one product at a time. When you try to promote a number of different affiliate products in a short time, you won’t be able to focus on them properly. Start with a single product and add more as results start to show. When you’re working on your first product, continue testing and tweaking your marketing methods. Once you know an affiliate program is working, just rinse and repeat the whole process to grow your portfolio of products.

When you are selling affiliate products, help your potential buyers with their problems. The more that you are able to help solve their problems, the more products that they will be willing to buy. Guide them with something they don’t understand and give value through your content by providing useful information they can use. You can’t just put a few graphic ads on your website and expect to make money. In order to get more sales conversions, try writing a personal product review about some of the merchandise that you are advertising.

In conclusion, you won’t make money overnight, but if you want to make it in affiliate marketing, you can do it with hard work.

Remember the tips offered here, give your visitors some honest pre-selling tips and you’ll see great results in no time as you promote those products (i.e burn the fat feed the muscle)
